Any farm, community, or garden project using organic methods that would like to participate in a sustainable organic educational exchange may join the program. (You do not have to be certified)
WWOOF hosts are expected to use ecologically sound methods, with WWOOFers being involved in the organic growing/farming practices. If you do not fit these criteria, please sign up with our partner organisation Cultural Exchange.
People interested in living and learning on an organic property are welcome to join WWOOF.
We are obliged to inform you that New Zealand Immigration requires you to have a Working Holiday Visa even to volunteer. If you say that you are coming to “volunteer or work on a farm” and you do not have a Working Holiday Visa, there is a high probability that Immigration will not let you enter New Zealand.
For more information please go to https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas/apply-for-a-visa and select the country you are from. Neither WWOOF New Zealand nor hosts are able to assist or support you with your Visa application.
If you intend to volunteer together with a partner or friend, you can join on the same application. When joining together you will only have one profile. Enter one e-mail address that you can share.
